We handle all major DTP formats – Adobe InDesign (.indd, .idml), Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, and Adobe FrameMaker – plus Office formats (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Apple/Google equivalents (Keynote, Google Slides). Output is delivered in whichever format you need: print-ready PDF (CMYK with bleeds), packaged InDesign, IDML, or exported Office files.

We work across all major script families – Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Armenian, Georgian, Arabic, Hebrew, CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean), Indic, and Southeast Asian scripts. For right-to-left and complex writing systems, we apply the typographic rules specific to each script: correct line-break behavior, character handling, punctuation conventions, and directional flow. Your non-Latin layouts are properly rebuilt, not just text-replaced.

Text expansion and contraction are core DTP challenges. German typically expands 25–35% compared to English, while CJK languages often contract. We adjust column widths, adapt font sizes within design limits, reflow images and captions, and fix orphan and widow lines – preserving the visual hierarchy without cramping or empty space.

Yes. We regularly receive XLIFF files from CAT tools, packaged InDesign with IDML exports, and Trados project packages. We work directly within LSP round-trip workflows – preserving segmentation markers, handling pseudo-translation previews, and returning target-ready files that slot back into your translation management system.

Yes. Provide your brand guide (or source InDesign files with defined paragraph and character styles), and we match colors, typography, spacing, and logo placement across every language version. For ongoing work, we build master templates so future projects stay brand-consistent with less setup time.

Yes – PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 with CMYK color profiles, bleeds, trim marks, and embedded fonts. We can run a preflight with Adobe Acrobat Pro or FlightCheck and share the report, so your printer can get the files ready for press without back-and-forth.

Project timelines depend on complexity and the number of languages. We usually deliver short jobs (1–10 pages, single-language) within 1 business day. We complete medium projects (20–50 pages) in 2–3 business days. For large books or multi-language manuals, we scope each project individually, commit to a realistic deadline at the start, and deliver on it.

For corporate and LSP clients, we include packaged InDesign files or IDML by default. For individual clients, we offer source files as an add-on – the final cost depends on file complexity and scope. We always deliver final PDFs as part of the base project.

We handle in-house translation between English, Ukrainian, and Russian for general topics. For other language pairs or specialized content (legal, medical, technical), we recommend working with a dedicated translation partner and sending us the translated content for DTP. Yes. We routinely sign NDAs before starting work on confidential projects – annual reports, unreleased products, internal documents, or materials under embargo. Request an NDA during quote intake, and we’ll execute it before sharing any files.
